We are looking to employ a workshop prepper to join our team. We specialise in providing spray painting, powder coating and blasting services to the rail and air industry. This role primarily consists of working in the Prep team, assisting with the day-to-day operations.
Full Time positions based at our Main Site in Derby. Hourly rate to be confirmed on application.
8.5 hour shift (0730-1630) Monday to Friday with overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
- Conduct quality checks on materials to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Assist in troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the preparation process.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, with a focus on safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory.
